Sustainability

Food

Our chefs prepare healthy, sustainable and above all delicious meals using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The menu changes daily to offer variety and quality.

Water

Evides supplies our water, ensuring top-quality drinking water throughout the building. Rotterdam’s tap water is among the best in the region and is tested daily at multiple points. At Delftse Poort, our drinking water is drawn from the River Meuse and softened in the Maasbasins in the Biesbosch. Click here for more information on our water quality.

Lighting

Natural daylight plays a key role in supporting well-being. Across the building, workspaces are designed to maximise daylight, enhanced by LED lighting that adjusts automatically to outdoor conditions. At night, lighting is carefully considered to minimise disruption to the sleep-wake cycle. Research shows that even low levels of artificial light can impact sleep. If you want to feel fitter, you might exercise more, go to bed earlier, stop smoking or eat more healthily. But did you know that looking after your mental health is just as important? When your mind is in a good place, you feel more positive, cope better with stress and handle challenges more effectively.
